Cannot acquire a schema lock because of an existing lock.
You attempted to open a database that is already opened exclusively by user 'username' on machine 'machinename'. Try again when the database is available."This error still occurs even when a new document is opened in ArcMap.

Cause

The trace task you performed earlier is still holding a lock on the geometric network.
