ERROR
The error occurs in ArcGIS Pro Error Inspector on evaluating rules for an ArcGIS Enterprise Portal Feature Service that is accompanied with a map image service. The service is based on a branch versioned feature class in an enterprise geodatabase. The feature class has attribute validation rules assigned.
When the map image service was published, the service does not only include the original feature class with the attribute rules. It also must include the additional validation feature classes GDB_ValidationPointErrors, GDB_ValidationLineErrors, GDB_ValidationPolygonErrors, GDB_ValidationObjectErrors, which are automatically created in a geodatabase workspace when validation rules are assigned to data.
When a feature service is added to a new map in ArcGIS Pro, right-click the feature service layer, and choose Add Error Layers. This adds the Error Layers Group Layer to the map.
When the Error Layers group layer is present in the map, the Error Inspector can be opened and used. In Error Inspector, to check for features that do not meet the validation rules, click Evaluate rules.
This leads to the following error message:
Evaluate Rules Edit operation failed. ERROR: User does not have privileges to perform this operation.
The portal user editing the feature service in ArcGIS Pro does not have the ArcGIS Advanced Editing user type extension assigned. This user type extension is necessary to successfully evaluate attribute rules.
Sign in to your ArcGIS Enterprise Portal as a user with administrative privileges and assign the user type extension ArcGIS Advanced Editing to the portal user who needs to evaluate the attribute rules in ArcGIS Pro.
