Error found when administering MapService
Error Message
When trying to create an image map service from an AXL file that contains references to image layers, the following error occurs x number of times, where x = the number of instances associated with the ImageServer:"Error found when administering MapService"
Cause
This error occurs when the system PATH environment variable exceeds 256 characters.
Solution or Workaround
Two possible work-arounds can be implemented for this error:
1. Install the Spatial Server component on a machine whose system PATH variable is shorter than 256 characters.
2. Remove paths from the existing PATH variable so that the resulting variable is less than 256 characters long.
