"Error 001992: Dataset must be versioned." When running a trace on a branch versioned utility network feature service in ArcGIS Pro

Error Message

Running a trace on a branch versioned utility network feature service in ArcGIS Pro, returns the error:

"Error 001992: Dataset must be versioned."

This same feature service can successfully run a trace in Portal's Experience Builder.

Cause

This is due to the Version Management capability not being checked.

Solution or Workaround

Before publishing the utility network as a feature service, ensure the Version Management capability is checked.

Note:
This cannot be checked once the feature service is published.
