Error Message

Attempting to export a utility network rule, such as a connectivity or structural rule, using the Export Rules (Utility Network) tool fails in ArcGIS Pro, with the following error messages returned:

ERROR 000210: Cannot create output <value>.
Error:
Failed to execute (ExportRules).

Cause

  • The known causes of the first error message returned are described in the article, ArcGIS Pro: 000210: Cannot create output <value>.
  • The second error message is returned because the .csv extension is not included in the output CSV file name when exporting the rule.

Solution or Workaround

In Step 5 of the article, ArcGIS Pro: Export network rules to a CSV file, include the .csv extension in the output CSV file name for the Output File parameter.
