ERROR

err:bad irec (vreadr).

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Solution or Workaround

Summary

The CLEAN command processes part of the coverage and then fails with this error:

   err:bad irec (vreadr)

Cause

Either the .msk file is corrupted or upi are using the wrong fuzzy tolerance.

Solution

1. Make sure that DOSX is set (if required).

2. Delete the .msk file found under the coverage sub-directory.

3. Adjust the fuzzy tolerance and run CLEAN again. Finding the appropriate fuzzy tolerance value requires an understanding of the minimum coordinate resolution for the coverages. As a rule of thumb, increase the fuzzy tolerance by increments of 1 1/2 or decrease it by 1/4 until the error message no longer occurs.
