Note: At ArcGIS Pro 3.3, licensing restrictions have been relaxed for a number of geodatabase capabilities. With a Basic license, you can view, edit, and manage relationship classes, attachments, and annotations. See, What's new in ArcGIS Pro 3.3.
When attempting to edit a layer with a relationship class in ArcGIS Pro, the Add Selected To Relationship and Remove All From Relationship options are disabled in the Attributes pane, as shown in the image below.
An exclamation icon is displayed next to the layer with a relationship class on the List By Editing tab in the Contents pane, and the following error message is returned:
Error: Editing data with relationships requires a Standard or Advanced license, the current license level is Basic.
This issue occurs because editing of layers with relationships is not supported with the ArcGIS Pro Basic license.
Use one of the following options to resolve the issue.
Assign the ArcGIS Pro Standard or Advanced license to the member
Administrators or organization members with privileges to manage licenses must assign the ArcGIS Pro Standard or Advanced license to the member with the Creator user type. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Assign or unassign an ArcGIS Pro add-on license or extension for more information.
For ArcGIS Pro Single Use or Concurrent Use licenses, contact Esri Customer Service to upgrade the license.
Update the member’s user type to enable the privilege to edit layers with relationships
Administrators or organization members with privileges to change user types must change the member’s user type to GIS Professional Standard or GIS Professional Advanced in ArcGIS Online. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Change user types for more information.
The image below shows the Add Selected To Relationship and Remove All From Relationship options are available when editing layers with relationships in ArcGIS Pro.
