Datum transformation failed to download

Error Message

In ArcGIS Field Maps, downloading a datum transformation for a location profile fails, and the following error message is returned:

Datum transformation failed to download

Cause

The Canadian Spatial Reference System (CSRS) files are not available in ArcGIS Field Maps and must be obtained manually. This issue is documented in BUG-000149918, which occurs to all transformations that include the CSRS.

Solution or Workaround

Manually load the desired datum transformation from ArcGIS Coordinate Systems Data into the ArcGIS Field Maps app. ArcGIS Coordinate Systems Data is a separate download and installation from the main product, ArcGIS Pro. The transformation files can be inserted into the following folders:

For Android:

\Android\data\com.esri.collector\files\PEData

For iOS:

Use the Files app and insert the file into the PEData folder.
