Solution or Workaround
Attempting to open in Crystal Reports for ESRI (v.6.0) a report that was created with another version of Crystal Reports produces this error:
the library p2qqde.dll could not be found, continue to open report for viewing
Clicking OK opens the report in the Report Designer but is not connected to the database, and it cannot be connected to a database either.
There is another version of Crystal Reports that is integrated into dBase5. This version includes a dll (p2qqde.dl), which enables it to directly access dBase 5 files. No other version of Crystal Reports includes this dll. Reports created with that version will cause this error in any other version of Crystal Reports.
You must recreate the report from scratch. You can open up the existing report in Crystal Reports for ESRI in order to see the structure of the report in the Design tab.
