WARNING: The instructions below include making changes to essential parts of your operating system. It is recommended that you backup your operating system and files, including the registry, before proceeding. Consult with a qualified computer systems professional, if necessary.
ESRI cannot guarantee results from incorrect modifications while following these instructions. Therefore, use caution and proceed at your own risk.
To resolve this, do the following:
1.- Using the Registry editor, change the Image Path from a long file name to an eight character DOS name.
2.- Open the registry editor from the Run dialog box or DOS command prompt by typing:
3.- Navigate to HKLM-->System-->Current Control Set--> Services
ESRI License Manager.
4.- Double click on Image Path to bring up a string editor. The Image Path
reads: "C:\Progam Files\ESRI\License\lmgrd.exe". Change the Image Path to read "C:\Progra~1\ESRI\License\lmgrd.exe"
The ESRI License Manager will now start from services as well as bootup.
