Summary

Attempting to start ARCEDITW or ARCPLOTW on a Toshiba PC returns the message:

"You cannot run this application while other high-resolution applications
are running full screen. The application will be suspended until a
low-resolution or text application is running full screen. Check the PIF
settings to ensure they are correct."

Cause

On certain Toshiba color notebook PCs, there seems to be an incompatibility between the display driver and PC ARC/INFO 3.4.2.

Solution

Switch to the generic Super VGA driver included with WINDOWS. Pressing ALT-TAB twice may also correct the problem.
