ERROR

Cannot open error file F77L.ERR error number 6 in NODGET

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Solution or Workaround

Summary

This error occurs when running OVERLAY or CLEAN on a relatively large coverage:

Cannot open error file F77L.ERR error number 6 in NODGET

Cause

The F77L.ERR file resides in the \ARCEXE\CMD directory and provides the meaning of fortran error numbers. For instance, error number 6 means "NDP Error - Invalid number, integer overflow, or 0/0."

Solution

Normally, if the F77L.ERR is present, the file allows the proper message to echo back to the screen when an error occurs.

Make sure the file actually resides in the CMD directory. If not, do a DELTREE on ARCEXE and reinstall PC ARC/INFO.
