Error: Can Not Get Item Definition from PAT

Summary

This message occurs when running ADDXY on a coverage:

Adding X,Y Coordinates to cover.PAT
Can not get item definition from PAT

Cause

The internal IDs need to refer to the coverage name in order to maintain links to the LAB. If you rename the coverage directory using Windows or DOS, these item names are not correct.

Solution

1. Rename the coverage sub-directory back to its original name.

2. Use the COPYCOV command or the RENAMCOV command to change the coverage name and keep the coverage IDs current.
