ArcGIS Survey123: Failed to save. Service name already exists for itemID

Error Message

When attempting to share survey results with the organization or the public in the ArcGIS Survey123 web designer, the following error is returned:

Error:
Failed to save. Service name <serviceName> already exists for <itemID>

Cause

The result layer has been removed or deleted from the survey folder but still exists in the 'My content' page and the recycle bin in ArcGIS Online.

Solution or Workaround

1. Find the existing result layer in My content or the recycle bin and delete it. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Delete items for instructions.
2. Navigate to the ArcGIS Survey123 web designer and share the survey. Refer to ArcGIS Survey123: Share a survey for instructions. This process generates a new link and creates a new result layer in the survey’s folder.
