ArcGIS QuickCapture: Can’t create project due to an unknown error

Error Message

When attempting to create a new project in ArcGIS QuickCapture through an ArcGIS Enterprise feature service, the following error is returned:

Can't create project due to an unknown error
Please try again. If the error persists, please contact Esri Support.
The error message, Cant create project due to an unknown error is returned

In the ArcGIS Server logs, the following error may be returned:

Error:   
Error performing submit job operation Error handling service request D:\arcgisserver\directories\arcgisjobs\system\publishingtools_gpserver\.submitted\<ITEM ID>.tmp (There is not enough space on the disk)

Cause

There is not enough disk space on the machine hosting ArcGIS QuickCapture. This causes the ArcGIS Server Windows service account to lose the permissions set for the folders in ArcGIS Server.

Solution or Workaround

Note: 
The following workaround may require the assistance of the organization's IT team.
  1. Increase the disk space on the machine hosting ArcGIS QuickCapture.
  2. Reapply the permissions to the folders described below. Refer to Error: The ArcGIS Server is not able to connect to the specified directory for further instructions.
