Error Message

When attempting to log in to Business Analyst Online, the sign in fails, returning the following error:

ArcGIS Public Account user cannot access this application.
When accessing Business Analyst Online, this error message is returned.

Cause

The ArcGIS Online account used to sign in to Business Analyst Online is a public account. ArcGIS Online public accounts have access to limited functionality in ArcGIS Online. Full functionality is available to organizational accounts, or to individual accounts with an ArcGIS Online subscription. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Accounts for more information.

Solution or Workaround

Convert the public account into an organizational account. Public account users must request the ArcGIS Online administrator for an invite to join the ArcGIS Online organization. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Join organization for more information.
