Error Message

When activating a subscription to set up an ArcGIS Online organization, the following error message is returned when the user clicked SAVE AND CONTINUE during the final phase of the setup process.

There was a problem saving your settings. Your changes have not been saved yet.

Cause

Setting up an organization fails because the ArcGIS Pro license is taken offline and disconnected from the network. Thus, critical changes to the organization URL, such as updating the organization's short name, cannot be made.

Solution or Workaround

Log in to ArcGIS Pro using the administrator account of the organization and disable offline usage of the ArcGIS Pro license before completing the setup of the ArcGIS Online organization.

1. Open ArcGIS Pro.
2. Sign in with an administrator account. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Sign in to start ArcGIS Pro for instructions.
3. On the start page, click the Settings tab.
4. In the list of side tabs, click Licensing.
5. In the Licensing window, uncheck the Authorize ArcGIS Pro to work offline without Internet connection check box.

Note:
Alternatively, in an opened ArcGIS Pro project, click the Command Search box, type Licensing into the search field, and click Licensing (Settings) to open the Licensing window.
