Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Error Message

When starting JTX Administrator, the following error occurs:

"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xb78 (2936), Thread id=0x7f0 (2032)
Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application"


ArcGIS .NET Support has not been installed on the computer.

Solution or Workaround

Install ArcGIS .NET Support.

  1. Insert the ArcGIS Desktop Install CD.
  2. Select 'Install ArcGIS Desktop'.
  3. Select Modify.
  4. Click Next. If the .NET Support feature is listed with a red 'X', proceed with the following steps.

    A. Click the 'X' and select 'will be installed on local hard drive' .
    B. Click Next.
    C. Continue through the installation wizard.
