Error:
An error occurred while synchronizing edits. Service = <URL>: Unable to synchronize replica., Importing delta data changes failed.

Cause

The error occurs when multiple hosted feature layers published from ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro point to the same data source. When publishing hosted feature layers with multiple feature layers referencing the same data source, only one table is created in ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Online does not duplicate tables from the multiple feature layers. Therefore, it is not possible to sync offline edits in Collector for ArcGIS.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve this issue, follow the instructions described below.

  1. In ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro, export the feature layers as feature classes. Refer to ArcMap: Exporting feature datasets, classes, and tables or ArcGIS Pro: Export feature classes for more information.
  2. Republish the layers as hosted feature layers to ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS. Refer to ArcMap: Publish a map service from ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro: Share a web feature layer for more information.
  3. Add the hosted feature layers to the web maps in ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS, and use the web maps to sync the offline edits in Collector for ArcGIS. Refer to Collector for ArcGIS: Sync and manage offline map areas for more information.
