Does ESRI support problems that occur when printing to PDF, using PDF Writer, and/or Acrobat or Distiller with ArcGIS Desktop?

No, ESRI does not support problems that may occur when using non-ESRI output engines, such as Adobe Acrobat, Distiller (ESRI does support problems that occur in maps exported to EPS), nor printing to PDF by way of PDF Writer, Adobe PDF or CutePDF. ESRI also cannot support problems that may occur when printing PDFs exported from the software; if the PDF exported from ArcMap, for example, displays correctly in Adobe Reader or Acrobat, then any problems that occur printing the PDF are beyond the scope of ESRI Support Services.

ESRI does fully support any questions or problems that occur when using the ArcMap File > Export Map to PDF.
