Presentation for Map Viewer Classic

Description

Presentation for Map Viewer Classic runs on ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.x, and has been superseded by Exhibit, an ArcGIS Instant App released into general availability in the ArcGIS Online March 2022 update and the ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0 release. Exhibit includes the same functionality offered by Presentation for Map Viewer Classic and offers additional enhancements, both in features and via the ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x.

Recommendation

ArcGIS Online
Presentation for Map Viewer Classic will be retired with the October 2022 ArcGIS Online update. To prepare your organization for this retirement, you may either retire existing presentations or re-create them using the Exhibit ArcGIS Instant App.

You may continue to create new presentations using Presentation for Map Viewer Classic until the June 2022 update, at which point only viewing and editing existing presentations will be allowed.

Presentations which were created in ArcGIS Online prior to June 2022 may still be accessible by their existing URLs, but will not be patched or updated and may be subject to instability or unavailability at any time.

ArcGIS Enterprise
In ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0, viewing, creating, and editing with Presentation for Map Viewer Classic will no longer be possible as Presentation for Map Viewer Classic will be removed from the software.

It is recommended that all existing presentations be retired before upgrading to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0. In the future you may use Exhibit, a new ArcGIS Instant App available with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0.
