ArcMapServicesCheck tool

Description

ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1 will be the last release of ArcGIS Enterprise to include the ArcMapServiceCheck tool. This tool will be removed and no longer available in ArcGIS Enterprise 12.2 and later.

The ArcMapServiceCheck tool generates an HTML report that identifies ArcMap runtime-based services that existed prior to an upgrade. The report indicates which services were successfully migrated and which services require additional action to use the ArcGIS Pro service runtime.

Recommendation

ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 was the final release of ArcGIS Enterprise to support services using the ArcMap-based runtime.

Direct upgrades from ArcGIS Enterprise 10.x to 12.x are not supported. Customers upgrading from ArcGIS Enterprise 10.x must first upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.x before ultimately upgrading to ArcGIS Enterprise 12.x.

Because ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1 is the last release that includes the ArcMapServiceCheck tool, customers must run this tool before upgrading to 12.x to inventory any remaining ArcMap runtime-based services and address required migration steps.
