DEPRECATION
ArcGIS Tracking Analyst is an extension for ArcMap that helps users spot and analyze time-related trends and patterns.
Tracking Analyst will follow the deprecation and retirement as outlined in the product life cycle for ArcMap. The last release of Tracking Analyst was ArcGIS 10.8.2, which entered mature support on March 1, 2024. There is no further development or releases planned for this product, and it will be retired with ArcMap on March 1, 2026. The Tracking extension for ArcGIS Engine and ArcGIS Engine Developer Kit carry the same product life cycle and will also be retired with ArcMap on March 1, 2026.
At the release of ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0, Esri added out-of-the-box support for temporal data. Users who have published Tracking Analyst layers in ArcMap will need to migrate these to time-enabled layers in ArcGIS Pro and republish these services. Additional temporal and track-based analysis tools are available in the GeoAnalytics toolbox. Some Tracking Analyst functionality will no longer be supported.
To summarize:
Esri recommends customers consider transitioning workflows from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro.
For users deploying ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and/or ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0 or later, there are time-enabled layers out-of-the-box within ArcGIS Pro that fulfill the same function as the tools within Tracking Analyst. Tracking Analyst users who have published Tracking Analyst layers in ArcMap will need to migrate these to the time-enabled layers in ArcGIS Pro and republish these services. Additional temporal and track-based analysis tools are available in the GeoAnalytics toolbox.
