ArcGIS Survey123 Mobile App (Current Generation - Version 3.x)

This is not a deprecation of the ArcGIS Survey123 product, it is a deprecation of the current generation Survey123 mobile app. A new generation mobile app is under development.

A new generation of the ArcGIS Survey123 mobile app (iOS, Android, Windows) is under development that will bring an updated, modern design, new functionality and stability to the product. The current generation ArcGIS Survey123 mobile app for iOS, Android, and Windows is being deprecated and will be retired at a future date.

Recommendation

To ensure that customers are successful in using Survey123 without significant interruptions to their projects and workflows, we recommend the following steps:

1. Participate in preview/beta testing: As soon as the preview or beta releases are available for the next generation Survey123 mobile app, it is important that customers test their existing forms and workflows. This will help them check compatibility and identify any gaps. Being proactive now will help customers plan for a seamless transition to the next-generation ArcGIS Survey123 mobile app.
2. Migrate to the new app promptly: Migrate to the next generation mobile app when it is released in 2026. Make sure to test forms and workflows to ensure they function as expected with the new app. If needed, consider adjusting forms and workflows to enhance compatibility.
3. Conduct thorough testing:  When implementing an OS update, Esri recommends following best practices by upgrading one device initially and ensuring the software, including Survey123, functions correctly before proceeding with the OS upgrade on all devices.
