ArcGIS Notebooks Runtime version 10

Description

ArcGIS Notebooks Runtime version 10 has been deprecated since June 2026 and will be removed with the ArcGIS Online November 2026 update.

Recommendation

To avoid workflow disruptions, please ask your ArcGIS Notebooks users to take the following steps by November 2026:

1. Review runtime version.
• Go to the Notebooks home page and check the Runtime version for each notebook under "My notebooks" or "Shared notebooks." A triangular caution sign indicates a deprecated runtime.
2. Review and choose a compatible Runtime.
• Review the available Python libraries and their compatibility with different Runtime versions.
• Choose a Runtime version that is compatible with your code, considering library availability and compatibility.
3. Update Runtime version.
• From the Notebooks homepage, select the notebook item(s) to update and click "Update runtime."
• Alternatively, open the notebook's item page and navigate to the Settings tab.
• Select the latest Runtime version compatible with your code from the drop-down list.
4. Test the notebook.
• After updating the Runtime version, test your notebook to ensure it works as expected.
• If the notebook has been published as a web tool, you must overwrite the web tool to update the Runtime associated with it.
