DEPRECATION
ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud is a mapping plugin for creativity apps in Adobe Creative Cloud. The May 2025 release of Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud will be the final release for some of the plugin’s functionality, namely Enrich layers tool in Illustrator and plugin in Photoshop. As Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud based mapping workflows lean into mapping with ArcGIS and Illustrator, this change will ensure that the product is able to focus and scale to better support the collaboration needs of the GIS and graphic design teams.
In October 2025, a new version with this renewed focus will be released. Customers are encouraged to migrate to this new version when it is available. It continues to include many features for essential mapping and design with ArcGIS and Adobe Illustrator. Additionally, it will provide a simplified experience consistent with other ArcGIS apps and improvements to support collaborative needs of graphics for GIS teams and Designers in an organization. This will not impact licensing or ArcGIS Pro’s Adobe Illustrator Exchange (AIX) file exchange workflow.
Organizations using ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud must plan to migrate their workflows to the new version to continue their work. Customers using the plugin with Photoshop will need to use Illustrator’s built-in conversion methods to work with ArcGIS maps in Photoshop. To support the transition to new experience, the May 2025 version will be supported until March 2026, after which it will retire.
Customers interested in early access to the October version are encouraged to follow Esri’s Early Adopter Community for related announcements.
