Description

ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop retires March 1, 2026. The final release (version 10.8.2) of Business Analyst Desktop was December 2021. ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop (ArcMap) has been in mature status since March 2022 and is following the schedule of the ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) Life Cycle whereby both products are being retired March 1, 2026.

Recommendation

ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop perpetual license holders can continue using the included applications while they transition to user types. However, customers with subscription licenses should note that software access will cease when the subscription expires. Beginning December 1, 2025, ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Desktop extensions, including ArcGIS Business Analyst, are no longer included in renewal quotes. Instead, for each of your ArcGIS Desktop licenses, you will be quoted an ArcGIS user type that includes ArcGIS Pro at the equivalent license level along with any applicable ArcGIS Pro extensions. Specifically, ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop will be quoted as ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro. 

 It is essential that you review and accept the renewal quote to maintain access to ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro. This will ensure you continue to receive ongoing support and regular software upgrades and security patches.
