HOW TO

Create links to Desktop Help System documents using the link element in the ArcToolbox Documentation Editor

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Summary

The ArcToolbox documentation Editor allows for the inclusion of links. The Add Link button adds a link to a desktop help system document, a Web page, or any file based document.

Procedure

When the ArcToolbox Documentation Editor is open and the Add Link button has been clicked enter a name and a path. The name is the text that appears in the documentation and becomes the link. The path is the full path to the Desktop Help System document that requires a connection.

  1. Enter the link text, in the Name input box, as it appears in the documentation.
