HOW TO

Configure a keyboard-accessible method to close a window in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Summary

When viewing an ArcGIS Experience Builder application, a window (such as a splash screen) can typically be dismissed by clicking outside of it. However, users who rely on keyboard navigation or assistive technologies may be unable to perform this action. To provide an accessible method for closing a window, configure a Button widget within the window that can be accessed using keyboard navigation and activated by pressing Enter. This provides a keyboard-accessible alternative to clicking outside the window and allows users who cannot use a mouse to continue navigating the experience.
