Error: Client Id Cannot Be Determined

Error Message

When attempting to generate tokens to access a secured resource, the following error message is returned:

"Client id cannot be determined"

Cause

This error occurs if the 'HTTP referer' (default) option is selected as the Client parameter, but users do not input a URL in the HTTP referer field.

Solution or Workaround

Type the URL of the site, server name, or web adaptor in the HTTP referer field. The URL must be the URL of the page from which the request is made to the ArcGIS resource. See the Related Information section below for more information.
