Change ArcIMS Spatial Server to work with a different ArcIMS Application Server after installation

Summary

You can change the ArcIMS Application Server that is being used by editing
ArcIMS Monitor’s Startup Parameters.

Procedure



  • On Windows NT, choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Services;
    on Windows 2000, choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools >
    Component Services. Highlight ArcIMS Monitor. At the bottom of the Service dialog,
    type the following in the Startup Parameters text box at the bottom of the screen:
    <AppServer computer> <AppServer registration port> <aimserver.exe directory>
    <Monitor Listener Port>

    NOTE: The default Monitor Listener Port is 5050.
  • On UNIX, open the $AIMSHOME/Monitor/Monitor.properties file and edit the
    registryPort value. The default is 5353. The command line option is:
