Cannot transform the footprint from raster spatial reference

Error Message

When creating an Image Service through the Image Service wizard, the following error message displays:

"[2007-08-07T12:05:49.636]: [RPDefGenerator.Validator.Validate : FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF7] Error: Cannot transform the footprint from raster spatial reference ('xxxxxxxx') to service spatial reference ('xxxxxxxx')."

Cause

The geographic datums of the images and service are not the same. Image Server cannot apply a geographic transformation when creating a service.

Solution or Workaround

• Change the coordinate system of the service to match the coordinate system of the images.
• Reproject the images to the desired coordinate system and recreate the service with the same coordinate system.
