Cannot authorize ArcGIS Desktop with the ECP code given.

Cause

ECP numbers are for ArcGIS Server products only.

Solution or Workaround

ArcGIS Desktop requires an authorization code that begins with either ESU or EFL.

• ESU is for single-use licenses.
• EFL is for concurrent-use licenses.
