Can the spatial reference of a raster be modified once it is loaded into a geodatabase?

After a raster dataset is loaded with a particular spatial reference into a geodatabase, it may appear that the spatial reference information can be modified in ArcCatalog, but it is actually not changed. To avoid this confusion, set the spatial reference correctly before loading it to a geodatabase.
