Can the data be installed separately from ArcIMS Route Server software?

Answer

Yes. As an ArcIMS extension, Route Server is distributable. However, factors such as slow network connections and/or large numbers of simultaneous hits to your Web site, will cause reduced performance. In these situations, keeping the data and application on the same machine may be optimal.
