Can personal geodatabases be used with ESRI products running on UNIX or Linux?

Answer

Personal geodatabases cannot be used as a data source for any ESRI products on Solaris or Linux. This includes ArcMap Server in ArcIMS, ArcReader, ArcGIS Engine, and ArcGIS Server.
