Business Analyst configuration: Connection to Report service failed

Error Message

During the Business Analyst Server Reporting Web Service configuration, the 'Test Connection' displays the following error message:

"Connection to Report service failed."

Cause

Internet Information Services may not have the status set for Web Service Extensions.

Solution or Workaround

• Using Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, ensure that the Internet Data Connector, Server Side Includes, and WebDAV show the status 'Allowed' for the Web Service Extensions for the local computer.
