Map elements or data frame in layout move or shrink when printed or exported

Description

Some or all map elements or objects, including data frames, shrink or move when printed or exported.

Cause

While there can be several reasons for this, the data frame percentage setting is a known issue.

Workaround

1. Right-click on the data frame in ArcMap Layout and select Properties.
2. Click on the Size and Position tab.
3. Change the state of the As Percentage check box and click OK.
   
   

   Note:
   There can be several causes to problem and this workaround may not resolve the issue for every map.
