Columns from a joined table are not visible in ArcMap

Description

** This issue has been addressed in ArcGIS 9.1 **
This condition results from the following procedure:1. Load into ArcMap a feature class or shapefile, and a table that can be joined to it.2. Join the table to the feature class.3. Click on Selection > Select by attributes. At this point the columns from both tables are visable in the Fields list.4. Remove the feature class and table from ArcMap. Do not remove the join before performing this.5. Add them in once more and repeat Steps 2 and 3. Now only the columns from the feature class are visible in the Fields list.
