PROBLEM
ArcMap runs very slow on client machines accessing ArcGIS by way of Citrix 4.5 ICA connection
Description
When opening a map document or performing selection tasks in ArcMap that are accessed by way of a Citrix 4.5 ICA connection, there is a noticeable performance slowdown with ArcGIS Desktop products.
Cause
The Citrix 4.5 Hotfix Rollup Pack 6 re-introduced a previously resolved performance fix.
Solution or Workaround
Affected Citrix 4.5 and XenApp 5.0 environments should include one of the appropriate hotfixes:
• Citrix Windows 2003 32-bit PS 4.5 Hotfix
• Citrix Windows 2003 64-bit PS 4.5 Hotfix
