ArcGIS Pro SDK: When browsing through the online ArcGIS Pro 2.0 API Reference Guide using Microsoft Edge, the browser’s back-button doesn’t work as expected

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Use the Microsoft Edge browser to open the ArcGIS Pro 2.0 API Reference Guide web site
  2. Using the navigation tree control in the left pane, navigate to any class or class member; the content pane on the right is updated with the desired topic.
  3. Navigate to a different class or class member. The content pane is updated with the new topic.
  4. Click the browser’s back button.
The topic and navigation pane are not updated to show the previous viewed topic, instead the browser will in some cases navigate away from the API reference guide web site.

The problem is caused by an incompatibility of the API Reference Guide web site and the Microsoft Edge browser.

Until this problem is fixed, use Google’s Chrome browser to access the API Reference Guide. This functionality works properly in Chrome.
