Unable to log in to ArcGIS Pro with a Personal Use subscription

Description

Starting July 22, 2021, changes were made to ArcGIS Personal Use subscriptions that require users to update their ArcGIS Online details.

Solution or Workaround

To continue using ArcGIS Pro as part of an ArcGIS Pro Personal Use subscription, follow the below steps:

  1. Log in to ArcGIS Online
    • Use the same credentials used to log in to ArcGIS Pro
  2. Once logged in, follow the prompts to Update user type, as shown in the following image:

  1. Once updated, log in to ArcGIS Pro

If the issue persists, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into ArcGIS Online  
    • Use the same credentials used to log in to ArcGIS Pro 
  2. Select Organisation.
  3. Select Licenses.
  4. Select Manage next to any expired licenses and remove by toggling the switch to off, and close the pop-up window.
  5. Select Members in the top tab.
  6. In the same row as your username click the options ellipsis (More options), and click Manage User Type.
  7. Select the box under User Type.
  8. Select GIS Professional Advanced.
  9. Select Save.

You should now be able to use ArcGIS Pro.
