HOW TO

ArcGIS Mission Responder OAuth Login Support

Last Published: February 20, 2024

Summary

The OAuth configuration information detailed in this article applies to ArcGIS Enterprise versions 11.0 and 11.1.  With these versions, additional configuration is required to support the OAuth login workflow in the ArcGIS Mission Responder mobile application.

However, if you are operating ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 or higher, no additional configuration is required to support this capability.

In ArcGIS Mission Responder, Esri offers browser-based OAuth authentication for signing into an ArcGIS Enterprise account. To enable web-based OAuth login with these earlier versions of Enterprise, a user with administrative privileges must complete the configuration steps below in the Portal Admin app.

Procedure

As an administrator user:

  1. In a browser, enter the url to your ArcGIS Enterprise Portal admin app. For example: https://<yourportaladdress>/<web-adaptor>/portaladmin
  2. Use admin credentials to log in to the portal.
  3. Locate Resources.
  4. Select Security.
  5. Select OAuth.
  6. Select Update App Info.
  7. Enter the following JSON into the input:
{
   "appId":"arcgisMissionResponder",
   "redirectURIs":["urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob","arcgis-responder://auth/"]
}

  1. Select Update App

Once the change has been saved, the browser-based OAuth login workflow to connect to ArcGIS Enterprise using the ArcGIS Mission Responder mobile application is enabled.

A Portal restart is not required after making this configuration change.
