DEPRECATION
ArcGIS Community Analyst retires March 1, 2026. The final release of Community Analyst was with the ArcGIS Online November 2024 update.
ArcGIS Community Analyst has been a valuable GIS community intelligence tool for state and local government agencies, non-profit, and urban planning industries. When Community Analyst was introduced fifteen years ago, it contained different data and workflows from Business Analyst Web App, but over time, the data and capabilities in both products have advanced and are now equivalent. Having two identical products produced confusion with customers. Going forward, Esri will focus on the development and innovation in ArcGIS Business Analyst.
Community Analyst remains accessible to users until their license term end date, at which time they will receive a renewal notice containing Business Analyst Web App Advanced at a discounted rate. For negotiated enterprise agreement customers, they will be migrated in September 2025.
Customers must migrate to either ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App Standard or Advanced. During the migration period, existing customers will receive renewal notices containing Business Analyst Web App Advanced and customers are required to make a choice between Business Analyst Web App Standard or Advanced as user access to Community Analyst will be terminated.
Once a Business Analyst license is purchased, the organization administrator will need to revoke the Community Analyst license and reassign the user to the new Business Analyst license. Users can expect to have all project content accessible in their Business Analyst Web App of choice.
