After rebooting during install, ArcGIS install starts over

Description

After rebooting during the install of ArcGIS, the ArcGIS installation process starts again or restarts.

Cause

The Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) needs to be updated.

Solution or Workaround

Download and install the latest version of the MDAC. See the link in Related Information for Microsoft's MDAC Downloads page.
