Add Survey123 Mobile and Survey123 Studio as registered applications to ArcGIS Enterprise

Summary

ArcGIS Survey123 Mobile and Survey123 Studio will be registered and supported with ArcGIS Enterprise 12.2 and higher. If working with ArcGIS Enterprise versions 12.1 and earlier, the following procedures are required to add Survey123 Mobile and Survey123 Studio as registered applications within an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment. This enables authentication with an ArcGIS Enterprise organization within those applications. 

Procedure

Survey123 Mobile

Use the following steps to add ArcGIS Survey123 Mobile as a registered app to an ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1 and earlier deployment:

1. Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory and log in as a member with administrative privileges. The URL format is:

https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/sharing/rest

2. Navigate to the administrative member’s content.

Note:
The URL below must be manually typed into the address bar and cannot be accessed by clicking through the Sharing/REST web interface. In the following URL, [username] should be replaced with the aforementioned administrative member.

https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/sharing/rest/content/users/[username]

3. Under Supported Operations, choose Add Item.
4. In the Add Item form, enter:
   • Title: ArcGIS Survey123 Mobile
   • Type: Application
   • Type Keywords: Application
   • Tags: ArcGIS Survey123 Mobile
5. Click Add Item.
6. On the User Item page, under Supported Operations, click Share Item.
7. On the Share Item page, set Share with Everyone to True, click Share Item.
8. On the User Item page, select and copy the ID value.
9. Under Related Operations, click Register App.
10. On the Register App page, enter:
    • Item ID: This is the ID copied in step 8.
    • App Type: Select multiple from the drop-down.
    • Redirect URIs: This value allows the successful authentication response to be sent to the portal URL. Enter the following:

["urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob", "arcgis-survey123-mobile://auth/"]

11. Click Register App. The Registered App page displays the App ID.
12. On the Registered App page, copy the App ID value.
13. Open the ArcGIS Portal Administrator Directory and log in as a member with administrative privileges. The URL format is:

https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/portaladmin

14. Navigate to Home > Security > OAuth > Change App ID.
15. On the Change App ID page, enter the following:
    • Current App ID: This is the App ID copied in step 12.
    • New App ID: Enter survey123mobile
16. Click Change App ID.

Survey123 Studio

Use the following steps to add Survey123 Studio as a registered app to an ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1  and earlier deployment:

1. Open the ArcGIS Portal Directory and log in as a member with administrative privileges. The URL format is:

https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname/sharing/rest

2. Navigate to the administrative member’s content.
