PROBLEM

Acetate layer does not show up on the map

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

An acetate layer added to a map does not show up as expected.

Cause

One of the possible reasons is that the acetate layer ID is a duplicate of the ID of an existing layer. In such a case, the existing layer will be drawn on the map instead of the acetate layer.

Solution or Workaround

When you add an acetate layer, you should always assign a unique ID to it.

Note:
The layer ID is of type string and can contain aplha-numeric characters, it would be a good idea to provide meaningful value for id.
For example: id="acetatelayer1" instead of id="33"
