A pmfinkx is not recognized by the 'Convert Graphics To Features' tool

Description

A markup from ArcReader, pmfinkx, is not recognized by the 'Convert Graphics To Features' tool. The option is still grayed out.

Cause

This is a known issue.

Note:
This issue has been addressed in ArcGIS Desktop version 10.

Workaround

1. Select the New Line tool and draw a line.
2. With the new line selected, navigate to Drawing > Convert Graphics To Features on the Drawing toolbar.
3. Click Cancel.
4. Unselect the line created in Step 2, and select the pmfinkx.
5. Navigate to Drawing > Convert Graphics To Features on the Drawing toolbar and continue with the conversion.
