Error Message

Attempting to run the Copy Runtime Geodatabase to File Geodatabase (Conversion) tool in ArcGIS Desktop fails and returns the following error:

001732: Could not copy data from Runtime Geodatabase <value> to File Geodatabase <value>

Cause

This error may be due to the following possible causes:

  • The license used is a Basic license, and the geodatabase contains attachments. Standard or Advanced licensing is required for attachments to be added. To learn more about adding attachments, refer to the following web help document, ArcGIS for Desktop: Adding attachments to features.
  • The runtime geodatabase residing in an SQLite geodatabase is topologically incorrect.

Solution or Workaround

Use one of the following solutions to solve the issue according to the cause:
