The process of capturing, processing, and visualizing the physical world in a digital, spatially accurate 2D and 3D format, typically using sensors such as cameras, drones, lidar, or satellites. The purpose of reality mapping is to create high-fidelity, digital representations of real-world environments for analysis, planning, visualization, and simulation. Reality mapping techniques produce output that includes 2D and 3D mesh, DSM, DTM, true ortho, and digital twins.
